About Me
This is will be my tenth year at Myers Park, but this will be my twelfth year of teaching. Before moving to Charlotte to begin teaching at MP, I taught in the midwest, where I was born and raised. I was born in Madison, Wisconsin, but moved to Terre Haute, Indiana when I was in elementary school. I graduated high school and attended University of Evansville and Indiana State University all in the great state of Indiana, but my love of Wisconsin took me back there after graduation; this is where I spent my first year teaching high school Biology, Anatomy, and General Science. Because the entire school (K-12) had only 400 students, I decided it was too small so I moved back to Indiana where I had lived for most of my life. I taught math for half of a year and then I got back in the science classroom and taught Biology and Earth/Space for a year. Then I made the big move to Charlotte to teach at MP.
When I am not working, I like to spend time with my husband and my furry family! We have nicknamed ourselves Gilligan's Island because we have two cats, Ginger and Maryanne, and a dog named Gilligan. My husband and I LOVE football (Go Pack Go!), the outdoors, and travelling. We went to Italy on our honeymoon and would love to go back!
